TAUNTON Town's rearranged game against Slough Town that was due to take place this evening (March 25) has been postponed.
The match in the National League South was due to kick off at 7.45pm however after overnight rain and further showers this Monday morning, the pitch has been deemed unplayable.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Tonight's match with Slough Town FC has been postponed following a lunchtime pitch inspection.
"A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course."
Yesterday, the football club confirmed that Bridgwater United Women would be playing their remaining home fixtures this season at Wordsworth Drive.
They played the first of those on Sunday, March 24 on the same pitch that the Peacocks played in on Saturday afternoon.
Two games in two days, mixed with some more poor West Country weather, means the match against Slough Town will have to be played at a later date.
